EVENTOS Locales – Semana de 23 de abril, 2026

Twenty grand prize winners in the 46th Annual Bookmark Contest were recognized by the Los Angeles County Library during the Board of Supervisors meeting on March 24. The artists were among 9,000 contestants across the county’s five districts. Each district had four winners divided into different grade categories: kindergarten to second grade, third to fifth, sixth to eighth and ninth to 12th. In Lindsey Horvath’s Third District, the winners were first grader Decker Spiegel, fourth grader Brian Lu, seventh grader Irie Yu-Yaginuma and 10th grader Lucy Venn. Printed copies of the 20 bookmarks are available at all county library locations. (Photo Courtesy of the LA County Library)
