Michael Alan Majers, a devoted public servant, respected businessman, and cherished family man, passed peacefully into eternal rest on March 30, 2026.
A lifelong pillar of the San Fernando community, Michael dedicated his adult life to serving others with integrity, warmth, and unwavering commitment. As the proud steward of Majers Liquor Store, he created far more than a place of business—he built a welcoming gathering place where friends, neighbors, and generations of families were always greeted with kindness.
Deeply invested in the well-being of his community, Michael was an active member of Kiwanis and served on the San Fernando Police Advisory Board. He remained closely involved in the day-to-day life and ongoing development of the city, always taking a thoughtful and engaged role in its progress.

Michael’s service extended beyond his store and into the heart of the city he loved. During his tenure as Mayor of San Fernando, he championed initiatives that reflected his deep care for families and children. He believed that childhood should be filled with fresh air, outdoor play, and meaningful connection, and he worked to promote policies that encouraged those values.
He will be remembered for his steady leadership, generous spirit, and enduring dedication to his community. His presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Michael is survived by Irma Majers Castillero; his children, Michelle, Marcus, Chad, and Javier; their spouses; and his beloved grandchildren, who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and devotion.
Private services will be held.
A public Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, with details to follow.
The Majers family extends their heartfelt appreciation to all who have supported Majers Liquor Store throughout the years. Your kindness and loyalty meant so much to Michael and remain deeply appreciated.

Mike was a good friend to so many of us at Sylmar High School. We go way back to the 1960s. His humor and steadfastness will be greatly missed by so many of us, including those of us remaining members of the Rising Sons Surf Club/ RIP my friend!
In the 1990s, Mike helped put our financial services company on the map. We wouldn’t be who we are today without his boost and support. Over the years, we evolved into a brotherly relationship that just got better and better. I wish I could put into words just how much he will be missed.
All of our love to you, Irma and Javier.
