Sylvia Jane Garcia, 88 years old, was born May 17, 1937 in Los Angeles, California and passed away at home in Pacoima, on Thursday, April 23, 2026. Sylvia’s light and legacy will live on through the many moments she enjoyed and shared with family and friends.
Sylvia is preceded in death by husband Rudy on April 1, 2013. Rudy and Sylvia were married on September 5, 1954, united for 58 years, enjoyed many trips, and raised a beautiful family.
Sylvia is survived by her children Rudy Jr (wife Maria), Pat (husband Joe), Janet, Michael and Roberta. Blessed with eleven grandchildren, Joe, Tony, Matt, Lauren, Megan, Kelly, Nick, Christian, Joshua, Zachary and Jacob. Sylvia’s pride and joy shined with five great grandchildren, Lucas, Gaetano, Sailer Jane, Jackson and Davie.
A visitation and rosary will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 PM, at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary Chapel, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills, CA 91345. Rosary will begin at 6:00 PM. A mass funeral service will take place on Friday, May 29, at 1:00 PM, at same location, Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary Chapel.
