This morning Spectrum reported that fiber optic lines were intentionally cut in a criminal attack on critical infrastructure, resulting in a temporary outage for some residents and businesses in Sylmar and parts of Pacoima, Lake View Terrace and San Fernando.

Spectrum teams are working to repair more than 750 fibers – which did not contain copper – to restore services for affected customers by this afternoon. Today’s incident follows a number of attacks that have impacted customers in the affected areas, according to Spectrum, which has filed a police report with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
