Bernard Klein, M.D., chief executive of Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, accepted much-needed face shields donated by Antonio Lopez, on behalf of SAA interiors + architecture.
Lopez was mayor of the city of San Fernando and is a director at SAA, which has offices on both the East and West coasts and is committed to outreach to under-served communities. Lopez chose to reach out to the Mission Hills Hospital, noting their commitments to those in need align. The medical protective wear was crafted by students at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Dr. Klein said the hospital is incredibly grateful to Mr. Lopez, SAA and Kellogg for this generous and potentially life-saving gift. The outreach from our community is heartwarming. It is the Providence mission to care for the underserved and this gift of safety shields is helping the hospital provide quality care for its patients while protecting care teams and others in the hospital from the spread of COVID-19.
