Gabriel’s Law Signed By Newsom After 12 Years of Numerous Revisions

It’s been a long 12 years for the family and friends of Gabriel Fernandez, who have been fighting for legislation aimed at implementing more accountability in the child welfare system after the 8-year-old boy’s tragic death exposed its failings.  But on Sept. 20, their efforts finally bore fruit as Assembly Bill (AB) 2304, otherwise known as Gabriel’s Law, was signed by Gov.
